PEC was founded in 1989 as a behaviour-change consultancy. We are a group of psychologists who have accumulated years of applied knowledge and expertise in helping clients to alter non-productive behaviour and thinking.

PEC was originally created because everything that I had experienced told me that people didn't change the way they felt or behaved just because you sent them on a training course.

But there was light at the end of the tunnel: given a bit of skilful space, guidance and good information, people could change their choices and eventually, their behaviour.

Since the early years, I have continued to refine how we work with clients. Contrary to the popular trend in consulting, we try to take things away from our metholology rather than add to it. We are always trying to find ways of devising constructive shortcuts to help people to achieve their aims - chiefly, to improve something about their personal or organisational performance.

What about our people - where are they plucked from? Each member of the PEC team has been chosen because we like what they do. In turn they have chosen us because we only ask them to do what they are good at. Consequently, we will only accept your challenge if we think one of us is going to be good at helping you to solve it. Each of my colleagues who include: Joan Staples, Nigel Wood, Emma Donaldson-Feilder and Wendy Rose has developed their own particular expertise for helping clients to alter non-productive behaviour. We tap into that skill when we bring them in to contribute to a project.

And that's us.
